A Hollywood Love Story & Possibly Murder Most Foul

Synopsis

It starts with a dead body, of course. Floating face down in the swimming pool. Out at the snazzy beach front estate in the Hamptons.

The body belongs to Mr. Peter Martin, one of Hollywood’s most successful and highly acclaimed directors. The police arrive and begin their investigation. At first it appears Martin’s death looks like an accident. But soon suicide becomes part of the conversation. And soon after that the pool and the opulent property become a crime scene after police decide it looks like a potential homicide.

Suspects include Martin’s fourth and present wife, Hollywood megastar Ms. Joann James, and Hollywood leading man Guy Nelson, Joann James’ former husband.

Guy and Jo. Did they whack the director to resurrect their once fiery love affair? The cops think maybe. TV gossip mongers think possibly. Social media thinks absolutely.

But who are these stars of the silver screen? These bigger than life celebrities who attend award ceremonies and galas dressed to the nines? Who get interviewed on the Today Show and grace the pages of People and Cosmo?

Are they real people? Leading real lives? Suffering the same mental, emotional, and physical difficulties as we mere mortals?

Do we even want them to be real people? Or do we want our celebrities hovering above the fray? Deities to be worshipped and, when they falter, loathed and ultimately destroyed?

I’ve written Guy and Jo: A Hollywood Love Story for your casual reading pleasure. I pen all kinds of books, including plot driven page turners like this one. It’s a tender love story wrapped inside a murder mystery wrapped inside the madness of modern American life.

I live in bucolic Gladstone, New Jersey with my wife, three kids, and Moxie, a fine and stubborn hound. When not writing I like to read and walk and ride my bike and contemplate the chaos of life while seeking out friends and complete strangers desirous of conversation on virtually any subject under the sun.
